This week has been a busy week in Monkeys!
We have been focusing on our number and name recognition and settling the new children and staff! We made play dough with dried herbs "it smells minty", "This smells funny" they said! We traced lines using tracing paper which the children extended by using the roller paints on top of the pencil marks.
One of the younger children noticed the numbers on the tube in the construction area and pointed them out "That's as tall as you" he said. We've made models from the play dough, "My Daddy needs eyes, and teeth" Said one. " My Daddy has a spiky chin!" said another!
We've also carried out some spontaneous activities from the child's interests including bringing in the slide and tubes from the garden to make a racing track for the cars in the paint.
